4 BCT 4th Infantry division has a Female Engagement Team. I had the opportunity to meet 1LT Marissa Readinger who is on her first deployment. She is very passionate about what she does and a little nervous about the unknown. Her greatest fear is if she will have the emotional ability to deal with what happens.
This is her third year in her five-year commitment for West Point. She is a great representative of women in the armed forces and advocates for women as long as they are not combat distractions.
